Marketo Interactive Webinars and Jeto: Compatibility Status & Recommended Workflow

Missing API support on Marketo Interactive Webinars

Status: Investigating a Marketo API Issue
Last updated: Jul 3rd 2026 - We re-verified this against Marketo's most recent releases as of July 2026. There has been no change.

What are Interactive Webinars?

Interactive Webinars are a built-in webinar platform powered by Adobe Connect that lives entirely within Marketo Engage. Unlike traditional integrations that require external tools (like Zoom or GoToWebinar), this feature allows you to create, manage, and deliver webinars natively. It includes features like pre-built templates, interactive engagement pods (polls, chat, Q&A), and detailed engagement data that feeds directly back into your Marketo instance.

How to use Interactive Webinars with Jeto

At this time, Interactive Webinars are not compatible with Jeto.

Why?

Jeto relies on the Marketo API to create and clone programs. Currently, the Marketo API does not support creating or cloning the "Interactive Webinar" program type. Because this functionality is not exposed via the API, Jeto cannot yet automate this specific type of campaign. Consequently, when a program is cloned via API, the new Program is created/cloned but reverts to a standard Event with Webinar — and looses all it's "interactive" properties.

What should I do?

If you wish to use the Interactive Webinar program type, you must create and manage these programs directly within the Marketo interface. For standard webinars (using integrations like Zoom, ON24, etc.), you can continue to use Jeto as usual.

When will this be available?

We have been in contact with Marketo Support regarding this limitation but do not yet have a confirmed release date. We are monitoring the situation closely and we will update this article as the situation evolves.

What would help move this forward: if this limitation affects your team, we'd encourage you to raise it with your Adobe account manager. The more Marketo hears directly from customers about the impact, the more likely API support becomes — and customer demand carries weight that a partner request on its own doesn't.

We've also opened a related idea exploring the ability for Jeto to manage existing Marketo programs, which would open up a path here even without new Marketo API support. If that concept is useful to you, please add your vote: JETO-I-277
