Overview

Roles allow granting a set of permissions for each User against Jeto Features, including API, Users, Groups, Launchers, and Campaigns. A User's Role is set in each User's Profile.

Roles associated with a User on a specific Launcher will dictate the Permissions of this user on all Campaigns created from this Launcher.

To offer additional flexibility, User Role will apply by default when a Launcher is Shared, but Launcher Role can also be Overwritten. This allows for a single User to play different roles on different Launchers (and related Campaigns) - where the Role can be swapped between Viewer, Editor, Approver, and Collaborator.

More flexible permissions with Hybrid Roles

If you ever need users to be able to create your campaign AND be part of the approval team for campaigns created by your colleagues on the same Launchers, this one is for you!

Thanks to Hybrid Roles, users can also be configured to have combined the "Creator" role with any one of the Viewer or Editor, or Approver roles on the same Launcher. This allows team members to be able to create their campaigns as well as be part of the approval team for campaigns from other team members.

Setting User Role (Administrators Only)

To set a Role for your User, access the User's Profile and chose one of the 5 roles available:

Setting Launcher / Campaign Roles (Administrators Only)

The Roles associated with a User on a specific Launcher will dictate the Permissions of this user on all Campaigns created from this Launcher.

User Role (Role saved on a User profile) will apply by default when a Launcher is Shared.

To edit the Role associated with a User on a given Launcher, edit the Launcher and navigate to Launcher Settings and Approval Team. From there:

  1. Add /remove Users and/or Groups

  2. Select the Role to apply.
