Now that your Jeto instance is connected to your Marketo instance, you can begin setting up your first launcher.

First, click on the '+ Create’ button located at the top left of your Launcher page. Then, select the category of program template you want to create.

  • This will only be used to help users easily find the launcher they are looking for

Next, through the dropdown menu, choose the launcher type that you want to build.

  • Using the Marketo Program template drop down menu, select the Marketo Program template that you want to use for this specific launcher.

  • Using the Destination Folder drop down menu, find the folder in which you want Jeto to save the newly created programs. Once the launcher is created, you can go back into Marketo Settings and assign destination folders dynamically using these instructions.

  • In the 3rd field, give your new Launcher a name. Ensure that users will easily recognize the program.

  • Lastly, if you wish, add a description for the launcher. It will appear below the launcher name.

Once you click Create, a form with commonly used fields will open. You can now begin to customize your launcher for your particular program requirement.

To customize the launcher fields, click the green pen icon located at the bottom right of your screen. This will open a side panel with form items to select from. Each form item is a field that will need to be mapped to a token.

From here, you can drag and drop fields or styling elements into the form.

  • Fields need to match Marketo token types in order to pass the information properly. You can find the mapping information here

You can also remove fields by selecting the field on the form, and clicking the trash can icon located on the top right of the side panel.

NOTE: Campaign Name is a mandatory field and cannot be removed, or moved to another location on the form. It must be the first field at the top of each form.

  • This field will be used in the Marketo program name. If you have a special naming convention you’d like Jeto to follow, please inform your Jeto CSM

For each field, you can update the following:

  • Marketo Token (enter the name of the token only. For example, if the token is {{my.hero-banner}}, the value in Jeto will be hero-banner).

  • Label Text and Position.

  • Required Field - if the field is required, users will not be able to submit their request until the field is filled. They will, however, be able to save as draft.

Under advanced settings you can update the following:

  • Placeholder - will appear as grey text in the bubble.

  • Help Text - will appear as a question mark next to the field. Users can hover and see the information.

  • Max Characters - if you want to limit the number of characters for a specific field.

  • Prefill value - if you want the information to be pre-populated for your users.

  • Default value - if the field is not mandatory and left empty, Jeto can pass a default value.

  • Hidden - you can pass your Marketo Admin a value by creating a field, putting a prefill value and hiding it.

  • Strip http(s):// - in order to track clicks in your emails and landing pages, http(s)// must be hard coded outside your token. This feature will automatically remove http(s):// from any link to ensure proper tracking in reports.

  • Regex Input Mask - if you want to standardize how information is displayed in your emails or landing pages, you can force a format with this field.

At the bottom of the Form Items panel, you will find Layout elements. With these, you can style your form to make it easier for your end users to follow which assets they will be updating:

  • Title - will allow you to name a section of the form.

  • Paragraph text - will allow you to describe a section of the form or add context.

  • Divider - will separate different sections of the form.

Once all your fields and styling element are in your form, click Save to finish your launcher set up.

  • The launcher will only be visible to you until you share the launcher (see next slide).

  • All fields must have a token value in order to create your launcher.

You can edit your launcher at anytime by clicking on the 3 dots located at the top right corner of the tile and selecting “edit”.

If you want to create a very similar launcher, you can use the clone function in the drop down menu and edit the newly cloned launcher.

  • It’s important to update the Launcher Settings to point to the right program if you clone a Launcher. You can update those by clicking “Launcher Settings” located at the top right of your screen, and selecting “Marketo Settings”.

Once you have tested your launcher and are satisfied with the results, you can share your launcher with other users.

  • Click on the 3 dots located at the top right corner of the tile, select “Share” and click in the search bar. From here, you can share the launcher with a group or with individual users. Once you have selected all the users, click “Share”.
